This issue of the EXPECT_Art newsletter reflects on last year’s theatre club activities with children in two Slovenian primary schools. It highlights how creative processes opened safe spaces for pupils to explore sensitive topics such as peer violence, power, belonging, and discrimination. Through theatre, improvisation, and collaborative storytelling, children of different ages expressed shared concerns in distinct ways, reminding us of the power of arts-based approaches to foster empathy, listening, and understanding.
