What a fantastic field observation Slovenian team experienced recently. At the end of June, the traditional festival Lent brings the Art camp to Slovenia’s second-largest city – Maribor. There, children, young people, and adults come together in a spirit of creativity, exploring various forms of art and letting their imagination run wild under the shade of trees in the city park.

From working with circus props, creative board games, theatre for grieving children, stitched illustration, finger puppets, concerts, instrument-making, canvas painting, learning about the history of various crafts, to stone painting, wood carving, clothing repair, an outdoor library, workshops—the list goes on.

The Slovenian team’s office was truly enviable, and witnessing how the local community creates and lives cultural literacy was nothing short of inspiring.
